After pulling out of a service station into the far lane, a car has crashed into my drivers side rear corner. I am sure I had enough time to pull out, and the driver admitted to thinking I wasn’t pulling into his lane. Although I wasn’t completely in the lane, the majority of my car was in the lane when the incident occurred. Am I responsible for the crash?
Usually when you’re hit from behind, it is the other driver’s fault. That being said, it was your duty to actually make sure that you had enough clearance and time before pulling into the other lane. I’m pretty sure the insurance company will deem you at least partially liable. Good luck!
