What good does attornies for accidents they do not help you recieve more money, recieve it any faster, and if the insurance companies can still get by not paying for all of the medical bills and if they won’t even help you recieve your lost wages from loss of work sooner. From everything I’ve read online along with answers recieved on my other question about my car accident, it appears to me that theres nothing I can do to get my lost wages sooner, make them pay all bills occured from the accident, or even get a settlement faster than I would w/o an attorney. So why hire an attorney who will collect 10 1/2% of any settlement I may eventually recieve if having an attorney does not protect your rights or help in anyway?
it depends on the extent of your injuries and the damage to your vehicle. if the injuries are great, and life altering then you might want an attorney. like broken bones, overnight hospitization, surgeries, etc.
if the vehicle is totaled, then you might want to consider an attorney.
also, if there is any doubt to who is at fault, like if the other party did NOT get a citation, but you feel they were at fault or you have witnesses they were at fault, but no police report to support that claim then you might want an attorney.
if it a clear cut case and they admit they were at fault and were cited, then you CAN do it without an attorney, but you need to put your negotiator hat on to do so..
keep track of everything. if you have back or neck issues go to a chiropractor and a doctor, do both. let them know you had an accident and you were not at fault and typically they will treat you up front.
