Why are people so concerned about plane crashes but not car crashes?
Car crashes are much more likely.
I think its because to a certain extent you are in control in a car crash. In a plane crash, you allow someone else to determine your fate and you just wait.
Also, fatalities are much more likely in a plane crash.
Maybe it’s because car crashes happen instantaneously. With airplane crashes, you know you’re going to hit the ground way before you ever do so you have time to really experience fear.
